We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Business Development Representative to help expand our business across the USA. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about building relationships, driving sales, and growing market share.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

New Business Development:

  • Identify and open new distributor accounts in the USA, including specific business sectors, organizations & states.
  • Respond to inquiries from potential distributors and actively prospect and follow up on leads.

Account Management:

  • Collaborate with existing distributors to expand current business opportunities.
  • Support new distributors and agents with training, sales programs, and selling materials.

Market Research & Strategic Initiatives:

  • Conduct market research
  • Facilitate new distribution channels such as B2B, internet, and telemarketing platforms.
  • Develop private label initiatives in collaboration with the marketing and purchasing teams.

Trade Shows & Partnerships:

  • Represent Surgmed effectively at trade shows and events.
  • Support tender submissions by our channel partners.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with customer service to resolve distributor and customer concerns.
  • Ensure adequate inventory levels and competitive market information through coordination with purchasing and marketing teams.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Sales and Marketing Management.
  • Experience in the Medical Device Industry preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage global distribution networks.
  • Exposure to the North American market.
  • Familiarity with both manufacturing and distribution business models is desirable.
  • University degree required; business management education is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and sales skills.
  • Fluency in English is essential due to international exposure.
