Reporting to the Shoe Cover Project Manager, are you a hands-on leader with a passion for optimizing production and keeping machines running smoothly? We’re looking for a Production Coordinator to take charge of our automated shoe cover production line — ensuring top-quality output, smooth operations, and a motivated team.

The Production Coordinator is responsible for the efficient operation, setup, and maintenance of automated machines used to produce disposable shoe covers. This includes monitoring production, troubleshooting mechanical issues, performing adjustments and preventive maintenance, and ensuring product quality and safety standards are consistently met.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Lead, train, and supervise production staff in the shoe cover department.
  • Set up, calibrate, and operate production machines, ensuring efficient and continuous operation.​
  • Monitor equipment during production, performing required changeovers and adjustments.​
  • Diagnose mechanical and technical issues quickly, resolving problems by inspecting and testing.​
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and making minor repairs.​
  • Perform repairs or replace mechanical parts, sometimes collaborating with vendors or manufacturers for guidance.​
  • Inspect finished products and processes to ensure they consistently meet quality standards.​
  • Keep accurate records of production outputs, machine downtime, repairs, and maintenance performed.​
  • Maintain adherence to all safety protocols and workplace regulations, including lockout/tagout and hazardous energy control procedures.​
  • Participate in keeping the work area clean, organized, and hazard-free.​
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and other team members to address equipment performance issues and recommend improvements.​
  • Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with specifications
  • Adhere to ISO quality procedures and ensure they are up to date and accurately reflect current production practices.
  • Document and maintain detailed production process work instructions for each product, ensuring clear, consistent and repeatable manufacturing standards.
  • Document and maintain work instructions for all production equipment, including setup, operation, cleaning, and routine maintenance requirements.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience in manufacturing or production environment
  • Technical diploma or vocational training in mechanics is an asset.
  • Mechanical/technical experience required (e.g., machine setup, adjustments, maintenance)
  • Familiarity with using hand and power tools.
  • Physical stamina and awareness for safe machine handling.
  • Experience in basic mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic systems an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple machines.
  • Attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and motivate a small team
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Bilingual (English/French)
